My Life at a Glance ... the time is now

For as long as I remember, I have always loved to sing. It comes so natural 
and feels so comfortable.My desire is to share my voice through singing songs 
that will inspire and encourage everyone,young and old, to be the best they 
can be. God had even higher plans for me. Being in the right place at the right
time is what made it possible for me to aspire to share my voice to audiences
around the world. The meetings and collaboration of Russell Rogers of 2b1 Sound
and Tim Hall of StageFright Music & Video Productions, Inc. made it possible
for me to realize I had the potential to write songs which led to the release of 
my first CD, “New Beginnings” (eight of the eleven songs on the CD I wrote).
It was as if God gave me his stamp of approval when I wrote my first song,    
‘Can You Give Your All To Me,’ which is now featured in the hit urban comedy
movie, “Fulgazi.” In addition, a song I wrote on my "Come See Me" albun titled
"Lifetime Affair" is featured in the movie "Hardrock" with actor Michael Wright.
I give God all of the highest praise! Also, as a member of the management staff 
of StageFrightMVP, I can now help others realize their potentialand make their 
very own dreams come true.

KarenJ's “New Beginnings" album marked her debut onto the music world.  Sultry, 
elegant, insightful and sassy are terms that reviews have used to describe her 
sound. Living on "Tulsa Time" relates well to this native daughter. Yes, Karen 
Johnson, born and raised in the Greenwood, Archer and Pine area of Tulsa, 
Oklahoma, that gave us Jazz legend Ernie Fields and R&B legends, The Gap Band, 
has become one of Dallas' best kept secrets. During a recent interview KarenJ (as she is now known) said, "Music 
has always been a part of my life." I grew up listening to Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, BillyHoliday, etc.  
As is typical of many of the great singers of the past, KarenJ started singing in the church. As she grew, so 
did her talent and popularity.  Her popularity lead to performing with local bands in and around the Tulsa area. 
Musically influenced by the divas of jazz and R&B, nightclubs and cabaret style venues would become her forte. 
With personality and charm, KarenJ is able to draw an audience in to "her world." As she said in a recent 
interview she "wants everyone to feel like they are the guest of honor" when she sings.

In the years since those days in Tulsa, KarenJ has enjoyed success in other areas of her life that regrettably 
left little time to pursue a musical career. A mother of two beautiful children who are successful in their own 
right, KarenJ says, "When I realized that I was free to pursue what I really wanted to do,I decided to go for 
it." She began to sharpen her skills and, by God's grace, began to meet those who could help her. This eventually 
led to meeting Tim Hall of StageFright Music & Video Productions, Inc. "When I first heard KarenJ sing," Tim says,
"I was in total shock and awe. Her sound was angelic, yet sultry; subtle, yet so powerful. I decided right there 
that I would do all I could to see that the public be blessed by this incredibly, classy lady."

Along with the strength of "New Beginnings" and "Come See Me" albums, KarenJ is indeed poised to rise to the top 
of the entertainment world.
