Carlton Dean
Carlton "Pocketmeister" Dean grew up in San Antonio, TX. He moved to Seattle, WA at age 12. He started playing music at a late age, although he had a desire to play the drums. At age 32, Carlton bought a set of drums to play for a local church, and played gospel music for 8 years. Then he co-founded the jazz funk band "A Touch of Class" which played in many venues for 2 years. Carlton has been playing with other jazz and R&B bands ever since. His influences include: Billy Cobham, Jeff Lorber, Herbie Hancock, James Brown, Dennis Chambers, Marcus Miller, and many more.
