Tony Alexander, Jr (son of Karen "Sue" Johnson)
The experience at our family reunion was so amazing for me, that I didn't want it to end.
I wrote this poem and hope you like it…
From Oklahoma to Georgia even the M.I.A.
From Boston, Massachusetts and Cali-for-ni-a
Texas, South Dakota and the Carolina's too
I got so much family and I'm living for you.
I never knew, just how much, I missed my family
Until that very single day, we gathered at the tree
All my cousins young and old, smiling everywhere,
My heart was filled with so much love, Its bursting everywhere
Now all I do is see your face, when I close my eyes
I'm walking with my head held high and chest full of pride
I feel I can do anything when I think of you.
Stepping through the hands of time, I know I gotta crew.
We got a doctor and some hustlers, a nurse and an athlete,
one headed back to Iraq, I pray to GOD that he comes back!!
Hairstylist and designers and a couple of teachers,
From mechanics to the body shop, we got a bundle of features.
We got so many talents in so many areas, singers and dancers to tell ya,
rappers and actors too and that's just to name a few.
Now that I've found you I can never let you go.
We've got a bond for life, I’m not putting on a show.
My life is bright cause you make me wanna FIGHT.
Remember my family it is all about the fight.
Fight for the things you believe and what you want out of life.
